No you cannot use it in Canada or America. However you can obtain the study materials from us, and study at home before you depart.  Upon your arrival overseas you can apply and obtain your equivalent license in Canada.

I am married and have a wife in South Africa. Can she come with me to Canada?

A)

All positions are on a seasonal basis ,for one season only. The first part to the answer is no,..she cannot come with at first. However, after the first year, in the case of Diesel Mechanics, there is the possibility of immigrating with your family to Canada. This will be only in the case where our employer has offered you a permanent position.

Q)

A)

Part of your wage deductions in Canada includes medical insurance which is government supported and free.  You would not have to take out additional insurance in the case of these jobs.

Q)

Is housing included with these positions?

A)

In some cases yes, but it depends on each employer. Once we have received your application and have come back to you with a possible offer, we can inform you of the housing specifics of your particular job.

Q)

I am scared of the cold and the cold winters with snow worry me. Should I apply?

A)

Canada has short but nice summers reaching up to 30 degrees Celsius and cold but long winters reaching up to "minus" 35 degrees Celsius. Although many activities are inside and workshops are often heated, you will spend some time outside, where it’s cold. If you are concerned about the cold you may like to reconsider this position first.  Life in Canada is geared around life inside with shopping malls and even amusement and water parks covered inside big, heated buildings.
